Ang mga mandragora ay naghahalimuyak na, at nasa aming mga pintuan ang lahat ng uri ng mahahalagang bunga, mga bago at mga luma rin, na iningatan ko para sa iyo, O aking minamahal.

Dirshuni II

And this is what is written: "My beloved spoke and said to me: Arise, go my love, my fair one, and go forth" (Song of Songs 2:10). This is the very call that the Holy One, blessed be He, calls to that creature who is startled and afraid to enter with Him into that covenant. For in those hours when she struggles and suffers, the Holy One, blessed be He, calms her in that language and says to her: Go forth, my beloved, and come to me with all your soul, with all your days and years, with the doubts within you and the anger within you, and I will come to you with my disappointments and my faith and with the consolations by which I have been consoled. And this is the secret of "New as well as old, my beloved, I have stored up for you" (Song of Songs 7:14).
